About the author

Rob Taggart was born in Sydney, Australia, and spent some time growing up in the Blue Mountains and rural town of Parkes. He studied mathematics, music and education at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). After working in Nepal for a year, Rob returned to Australia and completed a PhD in Pure Mathematics at UNSW. He worked for a while at the Australian National University in Canberra as a mathematician, before joining the Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne. He enjoys cycling, running, bushwalking, classical music and reading. He is married to Karina has a two year old daughter Alexandra, and is eagerly expecting another child in June.
